Job Description

This position is located at Scotland Correctional Institution in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Scotland Correctional Institution is a 1756 bed facility housing min/med/close custody male inmates managed by approximately 558 staff. This position will have daily contact with offenders and will work in the nursing department . Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, typing, medical reports, filing, appointment scheduling, telephone duties, preparing statistical reports, reviewing medical records for completeness, maintaining medical records on site in a confidential manner and performing clerical functions as required in compliance with the requirements of the Health Care procedures manual. Position ensures all records are initiated, processed and transferred in a correct and timely manner. Must demonstrate prior experience compiling, preparing, distributing and filing reports Must demonstrate prior experience with a variety of office equipment Must demonstrate prior experience maintaining a filing system Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
