UniversaCare - Queens, NY UniversaCare is seeking to hire PRN Home Infusion Registered Nurse for home care visits within the Metropolitan area and Nassau County. Position: Part-Time Hours: Flexible Hours, Evenings & Weekends Locations: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and Nassau County Start Date: Immediately As a Home Care PRN Infusion Registered Nurse (RN), you will experience a special energy and excitement from your work as you join a team of individuals who are committed to improving the lives of others. You will work in a growing, specialized area of the nursing field outside the walls of a hospital setting. As a Home Infusion Registered Nurse you will provide a broad range of infusion therapies in out patient’s homes while: Compassionately take care of patients in order to allow them to recover in the comfort of their own home by using your clinical IV capabilities and personal touch. Skillfully provide one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment. Assess the patient’s condition and response to therapy, taking action as needed to facilitate achievement of treatment goals Establish trust and build therapeutically effective relationships with our clients and their families Required Qualifications: Active and unrestricted registered nurse with current license in state of NY Two (2)+ years of experience working as an RN in a Critical Care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical surgical unit, ED, ICU, post-anesthesia care, or similar setting) Experience with lab draws, IV infusions, and reconstitution of medications Strong experience with working with a variety of pumps (CAAD, curling, etc) & troubleshooting issues that may arise Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance/registration Ability to handle specialty cases like IGG, IVIG, Solumedrol, etc Have and maintain current CPR / BLS certification Knowledge of HIPAA patient privacy and data security requirements; OSHA employee protection regulations Hold current Malpractice Insurance Have experience with Microsoft Office to document and track patient care activity About Us Founded in 2008 UniversaCare is a fully licensed and growing Home Care Agency serving the NY Metropolitan areas including Nassau County and is continually expanding throughout the Northeast.
