Position Summary: Responsible for all nursing care provided to the patient and significant other. Essential Functions: Add at least one problem to the problem list from the information obtained from the assessment and from other healthcare practitioners on inpatient units. Checks off MD orders against Medact and pharmacy orders. Completes or ensures the accuracy of medication reconciliation Provides nursing care as planned on the Medact on inpatient units. Accurately documents care given in the EHR Flowchart according to policy & procedure. Administers ordered medications according to policies and procedures, ensuring the safety of the patient. Maintains →85% medication verification compliance rate. Inserts IV catheters, set up, hangs, monitors and discontinues IV’s and hangs IV piggyback medications as needed.
