The RN assesses, organizes and synthesizes data to develop a plan of care through the use of the nursing process and theoretical and experiential knowledge. The RN utilizes critical thinking to plan and select appropriate interventions for patient care that result in the desired patient outcomes. The RN directs and accepts the responsibility for immediate supervision of assistive personnel and participates in the orientation of new employees. The LPN works under the direct supervision of the RN and indirect supervisor of the Nursing Director.
